CTCRI started functioning as a research institute under ICAR in July 1963 with its Head quarters at Sreekariyam, near Thiruvananthapuram.It has one regional center, which is functioning in Bhubaneswar. |
The All India Coordinated research project on Tuber crops operates from this institute and is having fifteen centres. |

spread throughout the Tuber crop growing areas of India.The Institute is also one of the centres of All India Coordinated Research Project on Harvest and Post harvest technologies. |
