CTCRI has established a full fledged Local Area Network connecting the various Divisions. The entire network is supported by state of the art equipment such as switches, hubs and structured cabling and the network is powered by Windows NT operating system as its backbone and powerful Pentium III & Pentium IVmachines as its nodes.
The network consists of Windows NT server, Internet Proxy server, Intranet file server and e.mail server, 65 computers, 13 Laser Printers, 16 Inkjet printers, 13 dotmatrix printers, 6 Scanners, DTP and multimedia workstations. Legal, licensed versions of popular software packages are installed for various type of applications. A high speed 256 kbps C-band VSATconnectivity was established for internet connectivity and can be accessed through the Local Area Network. CTCRlhas set up a home page on the Internet.
