Chopped cassava pieces ( 1g) extracted with 25ml O-phosphoric acid (0.1M) .Supernatant used for estimation of cyanogens. Linamerase enzyme prepared from cassava rind is used as enzyme source. Sample mixed with linamerase, incubated for 30 minutes, reaction arrested with alkali and the released cyanide estimated using ChloramineT and Pyridine-barbituric acid reagent. |
