ICAR-Central Tuber Crops Research Institute

As part of Special Campaign 6.0, ICAR–Central Tuber Crops Research Institute (ICAR-CTCRI), Thiruvananthapuram, organised three best-practice activities on 21 October 2026, promoting cleanliness and sustainable waste management. The road connecting the Main Building and Farm Office was cleaned, covering an area of 5 cents. Under the Waste-to-Wealth Initiative, a vermicomposting demonstration was conducted using one tonne of agricultural and dairy farm waste, including waste hay and paddy straw. The process of vermicompost preparation and its conversion into a value-added product was demonstrated and explained to 50 participants, including students, regular staff and temporary staff of ICAR-CTCRI.
