ICAR-Central Tuber Crops Research Institute

The programme was inaugurated by Mr Ramesh, President, Karode Grama Panchayat. Mrs. Agnes, Vice President, Grama Panchayat gave the felicitation address. Mr Ajeesh, Agricultural Officer welcomed the gathering. 80 farmers including 55 women farmers participated in the function. Planting materials of the fertiliser use efficient varieties of cassava Sree Pavithra, biofortified sweet potato varieties Bhu Krishna, Bhu Sona, Sree Kanaka and Bhu Arunima and micronutrient formulations ‘Micronol’ were distributed to the farmers in the meeting.

Dr. Shirly Raichal Anil and Dr LK Bharathi, Principal Scientists, ICAR CTCRI and Mr Rejin DT, Senior Technician ICAR-CTCRI took classes and conducted demonstrations on tuber crops varieties, soil health management, balanced fertilise use, organic farming and natural farming.
