Awareness programme on Khet Bachao Abhiyan: ‘Soil health management and balanced fertiliser use” and ‘Value addition & entrepreneurship development in tuber crops’ was organised on 22 June 2026 at Perumkadavila, Trivandrum, Kerala. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. M. S. Sajeev. Dr. Sangeetha, B.G, took a class covering soil health management, balanced fertilise use, organic farming, natural farming, etc.
A total of 50 farmers from the Perumkadavila block participated in the function. Dr. Sajeev M S, Principal Scientist took a class on value addition and entrepreneurship development in tuber crops covering primary, secondary and tertiary processing of tuber crops for sustainable entrepreneurship development. Dr. C. Pradeepika, Dr. Krishnakumar T, Ms. Pooja Krishnan and Mr. Robin Raj from ICAR-CTCRI also participated in the awareness programme.
