C. K. HAREENDRAN, MLA, PARASSALA, INAUGURATES THE CAPACITY BUILDING TRAINING PROGRAMME ON TUBER CROPS AND LAUNCHES TUBER CROP-BASED AGRIFOOD SYSTEM PROJECT AT AMBOORI
The programme, presided over by Shri Thomas Mangalassery, President, Amboori Grama Panchayat, focuses on promoting tuber crops and strengthening livelihood opportunities for tribal farmers in Amboori.
Dr. G. Byju, Director, ICAR–CTCRI; Dr. J. Sreekumar and Dr. S. Sunitha, Principal Scientists, ICAR–CTCRI; Dr. H. Kesava Kumar, Senior Scientist, ICAR–CTCRI; Dr. Sabu Joseph, Director, EMA Foundation; and a galaxy of people’s representatives attended the programme, along with farmers and invited guests.
Dr. S. Sunitha conducted a detailed session and led an interactive discussion on tuber crop-based agri-food systems.
