ICAR-Central Tuber Crops Research Institute

Dr. Niraj U. Joshi, Director, Centre for Agrobiodiversity Conservation (CAbC), and Dr. C. Thamban, Senior Fellow, M. S. Swaminathan Research Foundation, visited ICAR-Central Tuber Crops Research Institute to discuss possible collaborative initiatives.

The discussions focused on strengthening partnerships in agrobiodiversity conservation, sustainable tuber crop–based farming systems, climate-resilient agriculture, livelihood enhancement, and farmer-centric innovations. The visit provided a valuable platform to align priorities, leverage complementary strengths, and explore potential joint programmes for enhanced societal impact.

The interaction reaffirmed the shared commitment of MSSRF and ICAR-CTCRI towards science-led, inclusive, and sustainable agricultural development.
