ICAR-Central Tuber Crops Research Institute

The training aims to provide participants with comprehensive theoretical and hands-on exposure to modern genome editing tools, particularly CRISPR-Cas technologies, and their applications in crop improvement and functional genomics. The programme covers key aspects including gRNA design, construct development, plant transformation, molecular screening of edited lines, biosafety regulations, and gene expression analysis.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr. G. Byju, Director, ICAR–CTCRI. The inaugural session began with opening remarks by Dr. K. M. Senthilkumar, Course Coordinator, and Dr. Sheela Immanuel, Nodal Officer, HRD Cell.

Dr. P. Murugesan offered felicitations, followed by the vote of thanks delivered by Dr. N. Krishna Radhika, Course Director.
