A Farmers’ Seminar on Tuber Crops Production was organised at Kulathoor, Parassala Block as part of the Tuber Crops Development Project 2025–2026 (SCSP). The programme was attended by the Director and Dr. G. Suja, Head, Crop Production.
The seminar was inaugurated by Shri P. N. Jinesh, President, Kulathoor Grama Panchayat. Quality planting materials of tuber crops were distributed to participating farmers.
Three national awardee farmers—Shri Gopakumar, Shri Cicil Chandran, and Siju M.S. - were felicitated during the programme. Shri K. M. Sunilkumar, Agricultural Assistant, who is also a national awardee, was honoured for his outstanding contributions to agricultural development.
Dr. G. Suja delivered a detailed technical session on improved practices in tuber crops production, which was well received by the farmers.
