ICAR-Central Tuber Crops Research Institute

Director along with Principal Scientists Dr. G. Suja, Dr. J. Sreekumar, and Dr. A.N. Jyothi, and Technical Assistant Mr. D.T. Rejin, attended the farmers’ training programme organised under the All India Coordinated Research Project on Tuber Crops (AICRP on Tuber Crops) at Marayur, Idukki.

The team also visited the Thursday weekly market, locally known as the Chilla Market, and studied the innovative market linkage system developed by the Kerala Forest Department. The initiative effectively connects tribal Koorka farmers with traders, ensuring transparent price discovery and better returns to farmers.
