ICAR-CTCRI ADVANCES TECHNOLOGIES FOR PATENTING AND COMMERCIALIZATION
The Institute Technology Management Committee (ITMC) of ICAR-CTCRI recommended the technology on enzyme-assisted extraction of starch from cassava stem, developed by Dr M.S. Sajeev, for patent filing.
Two technologies developed by Dr T. Krishnakumar—namely the nylon brush-based mechanical peeler for taro and Chinese potato and the electronic starch indicator for on-site measurement of starch content in cassava tubers—and the foliar liquid multi-micronutrient formulation for taro developed by Dr G. Byju, were recommended for commercialization and wider dissemination to stakeholders.
