P. Prasad MLA inaugurated the Farmers’ Seminar organised by the All India Coordinated Research Project on Tuber Crops (AICRPTC) at Cherthala under the SCSP Programme.
Dr. G. Byju, Director, delivered the keynote address, while Dr. G. Suja conducted a session on tuber crop-based agrifood systems.
The programme was attended by the Panchayat President, Vice President, Panchayat Members, Agricultural Officer and other officials. Dr. J. Sreekumar, Principal Scientist, Dr. H. Kesavakumar, Senior Scientist, and Shri D. T. Rejin, Senior Technician, coordinated the entire event, which was attended by more than 150 farmers, marking a meaningful step towards empowering farming communities through modern technologies and quality planting materials of tuber crops.
