As part of the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2026, an activity under the theme “Clean Tourist Spots” was organised on 27 September 2026, in connection with World Tourism Day, at Akkulam Tourist Village, Thiruvananthapuram. Swachhata team members, students, young volunteers and staff members of CTCRI actively participated in cleaning the high-footfall areas of the tourist village.

Tourists visiting Akkulam Tourist Village were sensitised about the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign and its activities, with emphasis on responsible tourism, cleanliness and good civic behaviour. Placards and banners carrying Swachhata Hi Seva slogans and messages were displayed at key tourist points to disseminate awareness among visitors.
