The Director reviewed the ongoing research experiments, followed by detailed inspections of experimental fields and laboratory facilities.

Director also interacted with progressive tuber crop farmers, who showcased a wide array of indigenous collections, released varieties of tuber crops, and value-added products, reflecting successful research–extension–farmer linkages.

In addition, the Director participated in a farmers’ training programme on tuber crops, attended by 50 beneficiaries involved in various technology validation and on-farm testing projects, and emphasized the importance of location-specific technologies for enhancing productivity, income, and nutritional security in hill agriculture.
