The Institute Intellectual Property Management and Technology Transfer/Commercialization Committee (IIPM&TCC) in its meeting held today has decided to license an innovative business model, RootsMart Mall, to M/S Micronutrich Pvt. Ltd, Chennai, marking an important milestone in translating ICAR innovations into a scalable market-led enterprise.

An innovative ICAR-brand retail model developed by ICAR–CTCRI, RootsMart Mall connects research-backed agricultural technologies, GI-tagged products, organic produce, and farmer innovations directly with consumers through a trusted platform.

Built on scientific validation, authenticity, quality assurance and traceability, it creates a trusted marketplace that benefits farmers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and consumers alike—while strengthening the commercialisation of public-sector research and promoting sustainable livelihood.
