A total of 20 farmers participated in the programme. Planting materials of Elephant Foot Yam and Greater Yam, along with Trichoderma bioformulation powder, were distributed to the farmers. The programme was conducted with active participation and interaction from R. Arutselvan, Sushant Kumar Jata, and Amit Kumar Dangi. Dr. R. Arutselvan welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of sustainable soil health management practices.

A lecture was delivered on soil health management and the balanced application of fertilizers for improving crop productivity and maintaining soil fertility. Farmers were also trained on the scientific cultivation practices of Elephant Foot Yam, including planting methods and crop management techniques. In addition, practical guidance was provided on the application and benefits of Trichoderma asperellum (talc formulation) for disease management and enhanced plant growth in tuber crops. The programme concluded with an interactive discussion session with farmers on crop production and soil health improvement practices.
